What This Covers
This page describes what happens to personal data submitted through hrulabs.com. It is written to describe the site as it actually behaves, not as a generic template.
Who Is Responsible
The controller of personal data collected through this site is Hrulabs (hrulabs.com), contact: contact@hrulabs.com. Full registered business details will be added here once the formal entity is established.
What We Collect
The contact form on this site collects exactly four fields:
- Full name — required
- Email address — required
- Organisation — optional
- Project brief (your message) — required
Nothing else is collected from you. The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and does no third-party tracking.
How It Is Used
Form submissions are sent by email to contact@hrulabs.com and are used solely to respond to your enquiry and, if we proceed, to carry out the resulting project. We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties, and we do not use it for marketing.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract — and, for enquiries that do not lead to a contract, Article 6(1)(f): our legitimate interest in answering messages sent to us. Rate limiting (below) relies on Article 6(1)(f): protecting the form from abuse.
Your email address is set as the reply-to address on that message so we can respond to you directly.
Abuse Prevention
To limit automated abuse, the server temporarily records a keyed hash of your IP address for rate limiting — a maximum of three submissions per ten minutes. The address itself is not stored in readable form, and these records are deleted automatically once the ten-minute window has passed.
The form also contains a hidden field used to detect bots. If you are a human using an ordinary browser, it does not affect you.
Where It Is Stored
Submissions live in the Hrulabs email inbox. There is no database, no CRM, and no marketing platform behind this form.
The site and its email are hosted by our hosting provider, VipServ, which stores and transmits this data on our behalf and for no other purpose.
How Long We Keep It
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted once the conversation has clearly ended. Correspondence relating to actual projects is retained for the duration of the project and afterwards only as long as needed for our records and legal obligations.
Third Parties
All fonts, styles, and images are served from hrulabs.com itself — your browser does not contact Google or any other third party when a page loads. The only exception: pages containing mathematical notation load the KaTeX library from the jsDelivr CDN.
Your Rights
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
