Functional FDM Prototyping
Hrulabs prints functional prototypes, fixtures, jigs, and enclosures in-house on FDM equipment.
We treat additive manufacturing as an engineering discipline — not a novelty. Every print is preceded by a design-for-printing review: orientation, wall thickness, support strategy, and how the part will be finished.
What We Deliver
- Print-ready file preparation and design-for-printing feedback
- Printed parts, with basic post-processing and threaded inserts where needed
- Complete source files — FreeCAD or OpenSCAD — so the part can be changed and reprinted without us
Typical Applications
- Laboratory instrument housings and brackets
- Assembly aids, fixtures, and mockups for design review
- Custom tooling and jigs for electronics assembly
- Enclosures for embedded systems
- Parametric parts generated from code, where one design needs many variants
